Battery Health Monitoring
Many systems today depend upon batteries for expected and required performance. Routine or periodic monitoring is critical to achieve expected performance. Most battry systems are comprised of multiple batteries. Many users believe this means there is redundancy. However batteries are connected in series to a chieve the proper overall DC voltage for the associated power equipment. Many UPS have 480 volt DC
Battery input meaning a minimum of forty 12V batteries must be connected in series. If any one of these batteries fail open (as batteries do) the entire string of batteries is unavailable for support. We provide permanent installed battery monitoring systems that read impedance and volatge to know the health of each individual battery or cell. Software builds a database so changes and trends can be spotted. The most effective system is a permanent system burt for those that do not install one we provide portable test equipment and services to replicate the testing on monthly, quarterly, semi annual or annual basis.
Battery Ground Faults are a significant safety issue when not detected. BTECH's BGM provides monitoring for ground faults
